I was wondering if anyone on here could help, I was in Trieste last year with work and we frequented a german bar restaurant midday evenings, their beer menu was larger than their food menu and after a bit of sampling i settled on a lovely paulener dopplebock called St Martin.
Now I've done a bit of research and i discovered that this only comes on tap and not bottled but I would love to get my hands on some other dopplebok beers if they were available in bricks and mortar stores in ireland so has anyone ever come across any or even tried them please, they don't have to be a bargain either.
    Thanks.

White Gypsy Brewery is Irish, but one of their range is German-style dopplebok. If you can find it, you'd get a 700 ml bottle (at 7.5% ABV!) for about €8.50.

Thanks, is there an off licence that you usually see it in. Locally I'm restricted to supervalu, carry out and o donovans.

These are all available or have been available in the last year or two in Ireland. Redmonds is probably your best bet for these, they've loads of German bottles with cryptic labels so probably have some more.

Thanks very much, I appreciate that.
My next problem is that I live in Cork so Redmonds isn't an option for me.
Is there anyone here from Cork who know of an off licence with a nice selection of the aforementioned beers or any other dopplebok?

Get yourself down to Bradleys on North Main St.

Their web site doesn't come close to listing all they have in stock.
