    This is where we will do all discussion regarding the MMA League on boards.ie for 2014!

    Firstly, we just wanted to wish you guys all the best for the holiday season from all of us here at the League. We do enjoy this time of year and not having to keep an eye on the scales. As such we just want to give you all a heads up for the first round of the League for 2014.

    Round 1: Dublin, 22nd February 2014, Exact location TBD.
    Round 2,3 and 4 will be announced early in the new year.

    We brought a number of changes to the League this year to try to improve on the experience for everyone involved, which was based on your feedback and how MMA is changing in Ireland. The main difference in league matches this year was the introduction of our experienced judges to every round of the League. The League is about giving a platform for fighters from all disciplines of martial arts and casual participants to try out MMA competition. This is why for 2014 we will continue with judges for every fight allowing the MMA League experience to have more in common with the real thing.

    We want to once again thank all our competitors, coaches, spectators and of course official for there participation in 2013 and we look for to seeing you all again in 2014.

    First round is fast approaching. Make sure you register soon to minimize delays on the day.

    The venue is the same as last year Loughlinstown leisure center.
    Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

    Just over a week left to Register!
    Remember registration will close at noon on Friday the 21st of February.

    You must be insured with a Club to compete at the event.
    Teens must bring a permission slip to be allowed to compete - even if you competed last year.

    Note the price change, the League is 30 euro to enter this year, in line with similar competitions. Some confirmation emails have been sent quoting the old price, this was a mistake and anyone that received those mails will be notified separately.

    OK guys next round of the league is coming in less than a month, May 10th at Colaiste Chriost Ri, Cork. Weigh-in starts from 10 am.

    Remember you must be familiar with the rules which can be found on the website and you must be covered by your clubs insurance to enter. The price is 30 euros (25 sterling).
