    hi all,
has anyone any advice or info on blue shark/ deep sea charter on the west coast? eg best time of year, best location, chances of landing blue shark etc? Would be interested in any replys/suggestions. Been meaning to get round to doing this for few years so 2011 will be the year.

    Thanks

You are looking at July on for Blue Shark. We usually go out with Luke Aston from Carrigaholt at http://www.fishandstay.com/ , but he could be booked out by now. Maximum of 5 people. While waiting for the shark to appear you can fish the other side of the boat for white fish, but (big) whiting can be a plague.

Also, if you just going on your own keep an eye on the "meets and seats" section of Sea Angling Ireland.
