    Afternoon,

Just wondering if any one can recommend a company that do part load shipping to Spain from Ireland.

We’re moving over next year and leaving the bulky furniture here for the time being, but do have a good few boxes of personal things to get over there.

    Thanks in advance,

I am looking to move contents of Apartment back to Ireland from Costa Del Sol.
If your interested we could organise a Spanish or Irish Company and split the costs.

    We used http://www.multicargo.ie/
It was€360 for a cubic metre. I didn't think that was much, but actually was plenty. Like you, we were leaving most bulky stuff in Ireland. Friends of ours were bringing all there belongings, so used two cubic metres.

    Thanks for the replies.

Bets quite so far is UCS Express Deliveries.

They have a minimum of 3.5 cubic meters. But its only €520. So we can bring a bit more stuff. :D

    GLS: http://www.gls-group.eu

    €55 for their largest package size - 100cm x 50cm x 50cm with a maximum weight of 50kg - that's 0.5 cubic metres. 5 day delivery. Fantastic price really.

The only problem is that they don't sell the largest size boxes and so I have had to buy tea chest sized boxes (75cm x 50cm x 50cm) at U Store It (http://www.ustoreit.ie/) in Dublin and use that for shipping.

I have contacted several other shipping agents but all others have a maximum maximum weight of 31kg - the best of these others was www.thundertransport.ie which did this for €65/box.

    Also:

    AA Economy Freight Worldwide:
€80 + VAT per box or suitcase. Max weight of 40kgs allowed per box or suitcase. Price quoted based on shipping 2 to 3 pieces.

If you're really sending big then get a pallet - €300 for a pallet which can be stacked up to 2 metres in height. Definitely best option by far. Contact the guys at this place for details: http://www.parcelpostandpackaging.ie

I almost wish I had enough stuff to avail of the pallet as its safer than boxes (less manual handling = less potential damage) but I go with GLS.

I have contacted all other agents I could find and this is the best summary I have found.

Well,I checked here first a few weeks ago when I wanted this information - I wasn't happy with the prices quotes so did my own checking and thought I would post my findings to save someone else the bother to emailing all of those parcel companies.

So now I'm on the other end, trying to get our things back to Ireland from Costa del Sol. It seems to be a lot more difficult to get a reasonable quote than on the way out (most of the cheap ones seem to be UK only). Does anybody have any recommendations?
