Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    some of them but as you know there aren't a good many Irish Railway books, so mostly they are English. Some of them date back 50 years or so

    He's not going to buy them from you though - better bring them to your nearest charity shop.

    I know someone who did sell a number of books (duplicates) to him recently. He has to get his stock from somewhere!

    This person was neither deceased nor an IRRS member, although it was a large enough amount of all-Irish books.

    I'm interested in getting a book/manual that explains how the old Irish semaphore signalling system worked.

    I've tired google, etc. but can't seem to find anything.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    I don't know of a specific book, but several books I have read give a good idea of a signalman's life. Try various books by Adrian Vaughan for instance. If you have specific questions, I'm sure we could answer them here.

    you should keep an eye on ebay, old Irish signaling rule books pop up there from time to time.
