Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know what the story is with the D902 road south from Val d'Isere? When I ask mappy.fr and Google for directions between Val d'Isere and a town down the road it routes the very, very long way around.

I'm looking at going in Summer, so snow blockages shouldn't be a problem at that stage. Does anyone know what the story is with this road? Is it one of these special mountain passes that's only open to tour coaches or local taxis or something?

Here's the route from Val Cenis to Val d'Isere.

I would suggest that you check out the Vanoise National park website. It's a great hiking area, enjoy.

Yes that's the Col de I'Iseran route, it's only accessible in the summer months so most likely end of June onwards. As said above, check that site for details.
