My 2001 Yaris has a digital speedo and frequently reads 7-8% faster than my 2 GPSs.

Rented a 2011 Nissan Qashqai there the other weekend, and with the cruise control locked into 120kmph both SatNavs read 114, and locked into 128kmph it was still just under the 'true' limit. So I stuck there for most of the M8, and still got overtaken at speed.

Off-topic, have the Guards given up on speed cameras altogether?

Yeah, that's par for the course - your speedo will nearly always read faster than your true speed.

Just because you're doing the speed limit doesn't mean you'll be fastest on the road.

There's a separate speed camera thread for this kind of thing, let's all keep that discussion there please.
