    I'm surprised it dropped for Fire and Water. Would've thought word'd gotten out bout them meeting the others and everyone would've wanted to see the next one.

    Ratings drop is getting worrying now. About 200,000 have stopped watching lost since the start of s2.

    Jin & Sun episodes have never done well on Irish TV.
    JUNE 20th: House of the Rising Sun: 290,000 #2 (A SUN and JIN Episode)

    BTW ...In Translation was the least watched episode ever on RTÉ2

    I don't think you can simply say that less people are watching lost.
    It's only been out of the top 5 once since the beginning of season 2 and that was a rerun special.

    Who cares?

    If the ratings aren't growing by season 4 they might end the series with quiet dignity rather than running it into the ground.

    maybe its just a case that people watch it on channel 4 rather than RTE, i know they are behind a bit but still cant rule it out. or else more people are downloading it ( but let's not go there !! ) .

    Big fan myself but gotta add that i may start watching it less after... oops better not say as i watch it via the former part mentioned above so dont wanna spoil anything !!

    I think it was a case of nothing happening at the beginning of the series that put people off. And with a show like lost if your put off you give up and stop watching the show.

    I think the last few episodes have been good enough to bring people back to the show.

    Downloading it could be a major factor in the drop in ratings. But then we have been illegally watching british TV for years.

    Indeed, unlikely really though?... surely if you had a ratings box in your house and Lost was a favourite of yours you'd watch it on tv rather than illegally download it? after all, you know your viewing counts.

    Summer more like, it's around the same levels as it was this time last year right? higher even... also possibly extended out of home viewing for the football, though probably not since it's Monday night.

    It's more than 150, but in any case, it would make a hell of a difference if you consider that every person's TV choice represents a significant proportion of the national audience.

    "Two for the Road"'s rating is impressive considering the debacle that night delaying the episode. I still think RTE would have been wiser to show "Live Together, Die Alone" in two parts as it has been in most other territories. I don't think the episode's pacing worked quite as well as two separate parts when so much of the two-hour version was interlinked.

    Their reasoning for splitting what was once together this year, when last year they found it necessary to double-up consistently near the end of the season makes no sense. (Likewise, other than ensuring the plot doesn't limp along, their decision to 'speed up' Prison Break is a little baffling...)

    The number of people with these boxes is 1,000, however Sky and other cable tv channel disputed the proportionality of the numbers with cable, they feel that they are under represented.

    Ireland is the only country in Europe to see an increase in the numbers watching their main national channels (i.e. RTE, TV3 and TG4) since the development of Digital.
