What's your biggest accolade on boards?

    If you were to close your account right now what would your biggest accolade be on boards?
    Take DeVore for example, well, apart from starting the website it would probably be his depression thread.
    Pighead has his comeback thread.
    Yours might be anything from a good thread to a funny response that will personify your career as a boardsie.

    Mine takes me to the deepest darkest hole to ever exist on boards. A place that caused posters to close their accounts and beyond.
    I'm talking about the most notorious forum of all time on boards...

    THE THUNDERDOME.

    Now banished for eternity from this site, but it truly was a place where the boardsie with the biggest cajones won.
    I'm absolutely privileged to have the last ever post in The Thunderdome.
    It really is my own personal piece of boards history.
    You can see how the Thunderdome ended right here.

    Anyway that's mine. Being the last poster of all time in what was definitively the most notorious forum that has, or will ever exist on boards.ie

    Boards accolades! It might not be the Nobel Prize but you're seriously missing on how notorious that forum was on boards!
    You need to read the feedback thread and what went on in the place before it was closed down!

    Mine was being the only one not to be banned when the hammer fell. That and being the best looking in the kip.

    Nope well aware of it, and it's legacy and the storms it's caused.

    theres a sub section under sports "boards team"
    Play on an 11 a side astro pitch in knocklyon on tuesday nights. Its an astro league division

    It's not an accolade so much as a benefit but I started a thread in the Cork City forum around this time last year looking to get a game of 5-a-side soccer. A few people posted also looking to get a game until eventually we had enough to kick off a completely new game of people who never met each other before!

    It started off as just one evening a week, grew into two evenings, and is now at three evenings. We now have approximately 30 players playing over three nights, three sets of training vests, had a good night out from extra money collected and have another due.

    It'll be a year of kicking an inflated bit of leather around a plastic pitch soon. :)
