1. What is your budget? [€600]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming/Internet] (TF2 mainly)

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. any will do

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes

8. How can you pay? Visa

9. When are you purchasing? The end of summer sometime hopefully August

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Roscommon, but I should be ok building it.

Any help is appreciated

Come back closer to when you are building, prices, part availability and your budget might have changed by then.

I would say try and up your budget to at least €700 if you can. Windows and a decent monitor will set you back €200 on their own.

You can build a very decent gaming pc for around €500 at the moment though. (without windows + monitor)

Thanks for the advice, I should be able to make some more money this summer after exams.
I wanted to start researching now so I could get a rough idea of what PC I can afford, and keep improving it over the summer until I start building

Hi, I'm updating this because a lot of things have changed over the summer and I don't see the point in making a new thread.

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [No]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Maybe, if I can get a good framerate w/o overclocking than I think I'll leave it]

8. How can you pay? [Visa/Paypal]

9. When are you purchasing? [Now/asap]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Roscommon, but I should be ok building it.]

Also I was thinking about just getting the great build on www.logicalincrements.com or is that a bad idea

Once again any help is appreciated.
