Transgender child banned from girl's bathroom

    How would any school deal with this situation???

    The parents of a six-year-old transgender child, who was born as a boy but raised as a girl, have filed a complaint against a US school after the first-grader was banned from using the girls' bathroom.
    Coy Mathis, 6, was born a male but has presented as a female since she was 18-months-old, her mother Kathryn Mathis told talk show host Katie Couric.
    The six-year-old was recognised as a girl by her school mates and was able to use the female bathroom until last December when officials at Eagle Elementary School in Fountain, Colorado told her she would have to use the boys' toilet or the nurse's.
    Eagle Elementary' s lawyers said they had taken all the school's students into account when making the decision.
    "The district's decision took into account not only Coy but other students in the building, their parents, and the future impact a boy with male genitals using a girls' bathroom would have as Coy grew older," they said in a letter.
    Ms Mathis has home-schooled her child since but said she wanted her to have "the same educational opportunities as every other Colorado student".
    "Her school should not be singling her out for mistreatment just because she is transgender," she said.
    Ms Mathis has filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Division on her daughter's behalf claiming the school has violated Coy's rights.
    "We want Coy to return to school to be with her teachers, her friends, and her siblings, but we are afraid to send her back until we know that the school is going to treat her fairly. She is still just 6 years old, and we do not want one of our daughter's earliest experiences to be our community telling her she's not good enough," she said.

    Also this statement is highly ironic! ..."and we do not want one of our daughter's earliest experiences to be our community telling her she's not good enough," she said" - I'm pretty sure "her" parents don't think "she" is good enough, otherwise they would not have a forced transgender child.

    Sorry, but at 18 months old how can a child be presented as the opposite sex than it was born? It can't even talk ffs.

    That child should be taken away for his parents.

    Let the child find out as he grows older what he wants. Forcing a sexual identity on a child is going to lead to a fvcked up childhood

    but girls' toilets don't have urinals so how is this child going to bother other users with her genitals? :confused:

    Last year it was 7 year olds, this year it's six year olds.

    In a few years time determining the sex of a child via ultra-scan will be a legal minefield.

    The boy probably isn't even transgender, the parents are most likely going out of their way to prove how liberal they are. At three years old he could barely talk so I don't know where the parents got the idea he wanted to be a girl.

    It's child abuse, he should be taken away immediately. The parents should do jail time AND be sterilized so they cannot have any more children. Snip him, scoop her.

    What is weird here is that the child presented as a girl since 18 months old, whatever about a six year old feeling they are a different gender an 18 month old doesn't even know what it is never mind that it feels like something else.
