Anywhere know where I can get a cheap cooler box in Dublin?
    I'm looking to make a cheap mash-tun.

I've checked argos and the like but they're close to €40!

Was in Tesco yesterday and they had a fairly large one for €18.

Got the €18 one yesterday, insulation out of the box isn't great.

The good thing about it though is you can unclip the inner part of the box and separate the lid to add your own insulation. I've wrapped the insert and the inside of the lid in tin foil and added more styrofoam.

Now I'm only losing 3deg over an hour with just water!

Call out to the white goods area of the recycling center, you could pick up an old freezer box, I have been using an old chect freezers to brew two batches at a time since after christmas, its great to moderate temp and when your done it stores all the bottles while the brew matures too...

24L I believe (I tossed the label on it).

I'd say it'd be seriously crap without doing a job on it (tin foil and bubble wrap/polystyrene would do it). Its feather light and feels very cheap.
