Does anyone have recommendations of a couple of websites to keep up to date with new developments, studies, in all fields of science? Not something like journal sites, I know plenty of those, but more casual ones if you will.

Universetoday.com
Livescience.com
Wired.com

That's off the top of my head there now
There are some good science sections of major news sites

The Science Blog forums are a good place. Takes time to work out which bloggers follow the kinds of things you are interested in but I find it is one of a few good mediums for creating a tier of communication between Peer Reviewed Science Journals and the Public.

Actually, there's loads of stuff out there, navigating it is the thing.

There's lots of good lectures and talks on youtube too - finding the stuff is the thing.


Youtube comments from Christians attacking scientists is always a laugh.

MIT's TechnologyReview is good... there's also an app called Pulse (on Android anyhow) which is a news aggregator, their science feed is good. oh, and the NakedScientist site is curious if a bit all over the place.
