Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok to do the test in a 'high performance' car?

    I got a Civic 1.8SES recently, which Quinn Direct told me qualifies as a high performance car. They won't insure me on it.
    Is it ok to do the test in such a car?

    I don't think anybody would class a 1.8 civic as a high performance car.

    There would be no problem doing your test in such a car.

    Provided you are insured to drive the car. There's no problem.

    I was going to do it in my Levin :rolleyes: But tought the tester would fail be before even sitting into it !! :)

    So got a lend of a ADI driving instructors Honda Jazz for the day :) never drove it before and still passed with only a few blues :D

    What company would insure me do you think? I have been driving a year here and 4 in Canada. I'm 30.

    It's not but this is Ireland!

    If you can afford the insurance there's no law against doing the test in Bugatti Veyron.
    What company would insure me do you think? I have been driving a year here and 4 in Canada. I'm 30.

    The bad news is there's only one way to know and that's by getting the Golden pages out and working through it.

    I have a Japanese imported Honda civic and had problems finding a company to insure me, went with XS insurance, the only catch is if you have an acciendent you must pay the excess which is usually about 2000-3000, but the premiums are very low.
