    Hi,

Im considering the above course. Can anyone tell me is it worthwhile (cost 500e)?
What does it allow you to train?

Hi - this course allows you to train on anything you want - It's a qualification that states you have (basic?) 'trainer' skills, you still need the qualification/experience/knowledge of the topic you would like to train on...

    Best of luck with it...

P.S - are you in Munster? I saw this on facebook recently, just 'like' Ballyhoura Southeastlimerick for details - way better price!:

Train the Trainer Fetac level 6 to be run in the Ballyhoura area. Venue to be confirmed in near future.
This course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to run, manage and deliver effective training programmes.
This will be offered at the much reduced rate of €100 per person.
If you are interested please contact Eileen on 063-91734 or eokeeffe@ballyhoura.org. Places are limited

P.S. I dont represent the course or Ballyhoura etc. I'm a training manager who likes to see people interested in the training realm.

I deliver Train the Trainer courses and have down for some time. The costs of the courses have come down considerably over the past few years and €100 is exceptionally low as the cost of processing the FETAC documentation and retaining certification for the training centers and paying the trainers is not insignificant. So if you can get it for €100 it is very good value. I would agree with Oakshade above in that is is a recognized qualification, but you do need further experience or a qualification in the subject matter you plan to train in. The T3 prepares you for delivering training covering principals and techniques and gives you a recognized certificate.

If you have the Level 6 Train the Trainer course completed, and you have experience in the (eg) security industry, does that mean that you can automatically go out training security staff?

Or do you have to be employed by an affiliated FETAC company who will pay you a wage and issue certs to people you've trained?

Hi - you can do both. The easiest method is obviously to be employed by a training company, however you can also deliver the training yourself (as long as you can find the customers). It is worth noting that the training you deliver yourself as an independent trainer will not be accredited by FETAC unless/until you go through the FETAC accreditation process.

    Best of luck

Yes you can deliver training but I doubt you can certify your students with official qualifications like itec and cibtac. To do this I suggest you contact itec etc to find out what the official process is.
