Looks like a half arsed reskin, still an awful looking yoke.

    Renault-esque (unsurprising)

And considering the old model was a 5h1t-box, not bad looking!

I thought the title said Nissan Tidal!!

    It looks like it's melting.

The interior isn't that bad though.

They seem to have looked closely at the auris when restyling it (exterior). Maybe its considered good looking in Japan?

The megane 5 door looks quite good now.
    I don't see any similarities.

There's a lot of modern Mazda about it, particularly with the second car.

Very similar to the Mazda 3:

Ye know, in isolation, you would say, "yeah, not too bad" but then, shwon next to that megane and mazda(top spec models of both, it has to be said), it still does look fairly featureless and bland. Definitely improvement though. I still reckon, you could have shown us that car ten years ago, and we wouldnt have doubted it as an actual production car. Doesn't say much for the evolution of car design in that time...

BTW, this is actually an extremely important car for Nissan. Believe it or not, the tiida is its biggest selling car worldwide

    This doesnt look bad.
But then again, i dont think the current Tiida hatchback does look too bad.
The saloon Tiida though is utter horror.

So i wait till the new Tiida saloon (if it will be available as a saloon) is out before final judgement...

Back wheels look lost buried inside those large arches.

Before I read the full thread - I instantly thought Mazda 3 with steroids injected into the back wheel arches. Certainly not a bad looking car, although looking at the interior, that handbrake is in a funny position relative to those cup holders.

Anyway, 6/10 on looks for me, would certainly consider it much better looking than the latest Golf.
