Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dehli - what a kip. India is such a massive country and pretty much all of the most horrible places located in Delhi.

    Where is Ireland's list?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 227 ✭✭dfcelt

Thats the only countries they listed mumhaabu, we're just a wee island that nobody comes to visit any more :)

I'd say in Ireland it would be a list of empty/closed hotels that would be more likely.

The thing about Germany is true, their really isn't any muck-sty hotels there, I've traveled extensively over there and to be honest if you want to find a dirty room you'll have to mess it up yourself first. Even during Oktoberfest!!

Too, true my friend, I am in Germany now in a Hotel and I would be quite happy to eat my dinner of the floor.

As I type this I am in a Dublin hotel waiting for the porter to come up with replacement top sheet for the bed to remove the one with dried blood stains on it.

I told two members of staff about this today and clearly they did nothing about it.

For Shame. I wont name the hotel yet.

At least you have functional internet in your Dublin hotel, I stayed in Dublin Sunday night before flying out here and had dialup speeds all the way through, in what was supposed to be one of Dublin top hotels. Luckily I had O2 Mobile Internet as backup though. The top right hand side stain looks like nail polish or something though or else it is the light.

That doesn't look much like blood, bit too pink. Blood is brown when it's dry. Still not nice to see it though:(

Clean hotels doesn't make up for Germany being a boring kip..
PROS: Great roads very efficient travel network.. Mullets?..
CONS:No craic ,disgusting food,Nothing open on a sunday !.. Everything closes at 9pm!Mullets

My worst destination holiday! I have to work there unfortunately! It good if your planing to lose some weight, as I eat nothing while there. Except some good steaks. That usually are still moo-ing on the plate they are that rare

    Question
how many German themed restaurants have you being to ,or even seen.
    NONE!

Germany is a fantastic place. Great bars, great beer and the perfect food to go with it - currywurst. I was in Bochum, Cologne and Hamburg and all had bars open till late. In Hamburg you could drink till 5 or 6am.
Steaks are supposed to be rare! And if you don't like it, send it back. Considering Hamburgers and Frankfurters are of german origin, I've seen plenty of german restaurants around!

1.Hotel Carter, New York City, New York

Stayed here before as I imagine many J1 students and people travelling on a budget have throughout the years. Some of the reviews on tripadviser are hilarious and sadly most true :D

Actuall stayed in the Carter for 10 nights in 08 and found it grand. nothing special but so central and so cheap we couldn't refuse it!

If you're in New York, you're not going to be spending much time in your room so we didnt mind. bed was about 8 foot wide!
