Heres a small app to keep track of your broadband Usage. It works by periodically collecting data from your ISPs usage page and displaying it in the system tray.
Currently there is support for BTIreland, Eircom and Lastmile. I'm looking to add more ISPs in future, please PM me if you want one added. Any feedback much appreciated.

Note: you need Java6 for this to work on windows.

Just giving myself a bit of a bump here... :)

I've added a feature that graphically displays your upload / download usage

Some other improvements done also. Hope people find it useful.
    Thanks for looking...

I'm looking to add some more ISPs to my application. I think that the 3G mobile broadband operators like Vodafone, 3, O2 etc. have a website for checking your data usage... I think.

If anyone uses these and would be willing to PM me their login/password for the site I can implement support for that operator.

People using mobile BB would find this tool useful since the cap is pretty strict and going over can be expensive.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

Jonathan, nice work. Not trying to be smart, but good luck trying to get any sensible data use stats out of '3', good grief.

Am releasing a new version soon and need to test the BTIreland part.
Anyone fancy loaning me their BTIreland login/password from here...
    http://broadband.iol.ie/cgi-bin/sec/dsl
    so I can test it?

I was using a friends before but he switched providers. :(

    thanks!

Just to make people aware, I would recommend against anyone on UTV giving their user/pass from their router to a third party you don't trust 100%

Your router login details also control your billing account page as well, just to make everyone aware.

This isn't a warning against jonathan11 as such, in fairness anyone willing to put in time to make a useful app should be commended, its just to make people aware of this :)

I've included support for Vodafone Home broadband in the latest version.
Also fixed a bug with Eircom.

Let us know if you've any feedback, issues or bugs to report.

There are but a handful of bandwidth whores which this app might actually benefit.Your app doesn't include any of those which might have a use for it.It seems it's directed at plug in internet access.I only know of 1 person who exceeded her o2 cap who was raped by their ToS and it cost her well over a months fee for just a couple of gb dl.You seem to be offering nothing but a security risk to some providers it seems. Most people who use plug in internet know what limits their contracts hold. What benefit would Eircom/UPC/Smart/Magnet users have using this ?
