Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chrome and black M4. Took a heck of a lot of work but eventually it got there.
Gold-chrome electroplated flamework on the front end and on the stock tube.
The whole rifle has been plated and chemically treated, as well as gone through seveal stages of aluox shot blasting and glass shot peening.
Special rifles need special names so I'm calling it the "X4".

Again, same plating and chemical treatment processes as the X4, not paint.
It hasn't been given any internals or grips yet, that's going to happen soon.

Well, got around to aging my DBoys WW001 (Karabiner 98K). As you can see from the couple of 'before' pics below she had a nice red tone :rolleyes:, shiney too! ughhh. I dont know what sort of finish they apply to it, but it certainly isnt nice, and definately isnt authentic! But, its nothing that a bit of nitromors wont sort out!
I had drilled and tapped the receiver for a scope, but I removed that and filled the holes. I added a number of markings to her also, most obvious, a manufacture date of 1944 and a manufacturer code 'byf'. Serial numbers and waffen inspection stamps were also applied just to give it a more realistic look.
The stock received several coats of boiled linseed oil, its what the Brits used, not sure about the Germans, but, it gives it a more authentic look and feel (and smell!).
So, what'da think? Also pictured is the Mausers arch enemy, the Lee Enfield! (she's a de-ac!!) just to show a comparison between the two.

i was getting nostalgic thinking about my old Tm Benelli which bust one of the tri nozels early in the year. With the masses of clone Benelli's poping up around the place i was waiting for something a little different.

And finaly my Ruger Assassin [even with a silencer+ low powered gas this Nbb pistol is just no were near as silent as a Socom/P99 nbb] a big dissapointment realy.

Steyr SSG 69 P2 with bipod & 3-9x scope with extender, dressed in Realtree(r) AP tape.
Painting has it's advantages, but it's very hard to remove or change. Wrapping can be changed with the seasons. This tape comes on a roll, and is easy to remove. I think this camo will work well for Autumn/Winter, there's also an APG version of Realtree with more green for Spring/Summer. Snow and desert patterns are also available, but harder to find.

This took about 3 hours to do, as it was my first and I was being cautious. Hope you like it.
