    Do you have any pictures of what you broadcast from. I have some. They are coming.

    I have a studio at home. It isn't worth $8000, but it sound very good and gets the job done.

    Can't wait to see yours!

    I use a Shure Beat 87A.

    Its a $250 microphone. Its not necessarily on the high end if you look in the wrong place. There are other cheaper alternatives, but if you want to invest in some equipment for what wwe do, a Shure is a GREAT CHOICE. If you have a microphone, throw up its picture and tell us what it is!

    It's the Near 90 fm studio. I work there and was involved in setting it up.

    Mostly presenters will bring in their CD collections.

    We have WaveCart and Raduga for play out off the computer systems though.

    Wavecart is mainly used for promo playout. And Raduga is used for playing out programming over night.

    monkeyfudge - I caught your station last time i was in Dublin, sounds good, i used to live not to far from where you guys broadcast from, how would an anorak like me go about meeting up for a short tour of your setup?

    The 8100 comes up for sale on ebay every so often and also on Radiowaves.

    cheers man, yea i was hunting a 8100 on RW a few months ago, but the seller was acting a wee bit too strange for my liking so i left off.. i'll keep my eyes peeled so.. Nice setup man :D

    Might even look at doing a excursion to the studios for the radio forum if there is a big enough interest.

    Good to see a more technical thread like this in the radio forum by the way. Makes a change from the usual.

    I have a vbulleting forum as well. I vreated a radio host section on there and its near impossible to get people to have convos like this. Oh well. I enjoy this section here very much.

    haha i love it :D i want the machine that Smashy and Nicey use, Dodgiest Voices ever!! haha.. i also want that big gearstick thing they use to turn the volume up and down :D
