Can we make txtspk a bannable offence?

I'm in full support of this idea. Immediate bannings for anyone who employs "txtspk" on those forums I moderate. Those painful posts are constantly increasing my chances of committing murderous rampages - and that can't be good for me...

Notice that many of the words he used were just plain illiterate and deliberate spelling mistakes which didn't save any characters. Words like "iz", "nething", "dune". This is the big problem with the "txt spk" generation. It started off cute substituting "4" for "for", "2" for "to/too/two" etc. in order to save characters. But then people started butchering words for the sake of it even though no gains were to be made. And it does take longer to take a word and think "where can I insert a spelling mistake?" than it takes to just type a word. So all those "it's faster" arguments go right out the window.

I'm highly offended by your personal insults adele. Name calling is not neccessary to make a point. If you want people to take you seriously you might want to consider taking a few seconds to consider your posts before you hit the "submit" button.

I realise your time is precious and since you've made the move from "text speak" to English your schedule has probably been thrown way off, but we do appreciate your efforts. If you're going to do something it is worth doing it right.
