finally got some snow, so up the mountain I went. 10 cm of virgin snow, up and down, not even a whiff of wheelspin...ergo ....no problem

We have one or two snow days every winter, but usually it doesn't amount to much and is gone before you know it (like today). The only significant snow that I can remember was just after Christmas 2000 where we had 20 - 30 cm lying for almost a week at ground level.

Now, snow flakes you'd see often enough, but accumulations are rare and usually short lived ...but so far I've managed to test all my 4WD's (two:D) in the snow on top of that mountain

Even summer tyres can have good snow ratings.

It really depends on what you buy and that you get enough weight on the axle, that drives your car, to let it be able to grip.

I've got ContiSportContact 3's (245/40/18 front 275/35/18 back) and they are summer tyres, but have excellent snow rating. I just need a couple of bags of sand in my boot
