I had a post on for the last few days looking for people to join my new airsoft team in Donegal. I wanted to form a SS Panzergrenadier unit, I explained there were no political or nazi sympathise related to this just a love of history. I had several replies, all positive, some giving advice on uniforms, weapons etc, others warning me to tread carefully so as not to offend others. I replied politly to these, explaining in further detail my reasons for choosing the SS as mu unit of choice. The post had a positive feel to it, a mature discussion on a subject where one needs to tread carefully.
All was going well, I was enjoying the feedback until my post was closed by a moderator who thinks becuase my views dont agree with his that the discussion had to end. There was not one pro nazi sentiment in any of the posts, it was purely based on kit and weapons, there are loads of similar posts on this site, including german ones. I dont know who o1s1n is but i think it is disgraceful that he should be allowed to close my thread purely on his own views.
I have spent several hours on the internet this week researching this area and have come across several ss airsoft teams across the world, even in england, a country who actually fought the ss and had many soilders killed by the ss. If they can do it, why can irish people not even talk about it.
If anybody is acting like a nazi it is o1s1n with his denial of freespeach, a common nazi tactic for controlling the masses.
If I was advocating nazi policies or inciting hatred of any group of people I could understand, I was only looking for information or to talk to other like minded people.
A little power is a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.
