I came across this UK based company who re-sole walking boots and climbing shoes. Great idea!

Not a new thing though. I've successfully used this company before to resole a pair of hiking boots ...

They also repair other other stuff like tents, sleeping bags, rucksacks etc.

nice find there. i need to replace the outer sole of my boots asap. anyone in ireland doing this kind of work? my soles are generic vibram types. the ones with the seam. meant to be the easiest to replace. its a straight cut off, and weld on a new one job, and i would rather not spend 50 quid+ on getting it done in england.

I think the shop I bought my Meindls in will arrange for them to be shipped back and re-soled in the factory. Quite a few years since I bought them though so that may well have changed in the mean time.
