Shifting...teenage disco?

What happens at teenage discos? I'm 15 and tomorrow night will be my first time to go to one with my friends.

Does a guy generally come up to you half-way through the night asking ya to shift him or does his mate bring him over and does the mate ask instead? I've never been kissed so I'm kinda nervous :P So,can someone explain to me how it works? :L
