Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nani was signed and Anderson were both signed for an inital fee of 8m each rising to 14m for nani and 17m for anderson

The reality is this if we win our next 2 games which are at home against a villa side who have been poor all season and against an everton side who have nothing to play for and will be dejected the league is ours, if we dont get 6 points from these 2 games we dont deserve to win the league

That's not true at all. If we do win our next two league games it's doesn't neccesarily mean the league is ours.

Also if we drop points in either game but still go n to win the league, how do we not deserve it?

Whilst not mathematically over the gap will be back to 8 points, it could be worth 9 points if we hammer both teams. if its 8 points we will only require 2 from the next 3 games, of course we could lose points in both games which may require a win or draw at city, but for a team going for the league they should be able to roll over villa and everton at home, I know id be really worried if city were in our position

It will only be back to 8 points if City lose against Wolves.

I'm very nervous about tomorrows game. Such a big game. If we win tomorrow and win next weekend against Everton we'll be 8pts clear again before City play Wolves which they'll prob win as Wolves are very poor this season. Just have to take it one game at a time. Any win will do tomorrow but winning by a few goals to get up the goal difference would be an extra bonus. COME ON UNITED!!!!!!

ive no issue with the fees for ando and nani. if we sold nani now, we would make a profit on him, he has been a success at the club and is a really good player, nobody can deny that.

ando goes from potential world class to absolutely awful in the space of a week. sadly those world class days get fewer and fewer as the seasons go on. it appears he has mental issues off the pitch and fergie is losing patience.

Wiki says 46 million pounds for Nani & Anderson.

Please, for your own sake and our sanity, don't rely on Wikipedia for anything. I could go on now if I wanted and change that price to 34 million pounds. Then someone comes along and sees it and believes it. Tomorrow it could 50 million pounds.

I remember united releasing the combined figure at the time of £32m and a lt f press were saying nani's buy out clause was £14m.

I think both were decent value for money as united could sell both near that value combined again

Surely we will have to get someone in at LB if hes out on loan then even for cover?

Must have told him in enough time so he can get his head around not being with Rafael 99% of the time!

    Makes no sense at all.

Although it will be good for him, a season playing regularly in the Premier League (it ****ing better be the EPL!!) and I think he'll come back as first choice LB.

Ferguson is a fool in that regard. Fabio should be starting every game.

Meanwhile, I wrote a new article for my blog, on a player who I reckon you guys should sign, Granit Xhaka. What do you guys think?

I'm not too nervous about tomorrow, reckon we'll win, and I think it'll be easily enough. More than likely not though, but I do think we'll win.

I don't fancy the game against Everton at all. Hate when we play them, a good side defensively and are well able to nick a goal. Hate that fixture.

Fergie is probably going to try to get a season more out of Evra and wants Fabio to get as much experience a he can until that point.

    Seen that.
Wonder if this will effect Raf since they do pretty much everything together and if Fabio goes on loan this will be their 1st time apart

But he has contributed almost nothing this season. Why would you want to get anything more out of him?

Very strange move imo. It'll do his development the world of good. But I don't know if I'll be able to handle another season of Evra. If he's anything like he was this season then I'll go grey sooner than expected I think.

Send him to a Bolton or Wigan they'll be grand .

Thought that was a brilliant write up, and I've never even heard of the lad. I think you're only a year or 2 younger than me, and you write that is unreal(no offense;)). Without doubt one of best posters around here at the moment. Keep em coming. :)

He could go higher than that. Maybe Newcastle or somewhere like that, he'd play regularly with almost all sides outside the top 6.

Strange and dissapointing as to how he could go from our first choice right back at the end of last season to where he is now. He definitely can't afford another season on the sidelines at his age.

I really like the layout of your blog, so easy to read. That's one problem I tend to have with most blogs, they do be very difficult to read. Great articles too!

Maybe Sunderland I think they're looking for a Lb with Richardson supposedly leaving at the end of the season and Bridge going back to City I don't think there will be shortage of clubs looking to sign him up .

I tend to agree, from a defensive viewpoint anyway, but it's clear Fergie rates him quite highly. Captain in Vida's absence and one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Maybe Giggs will adapt his game once more and switch to LB for the next 5 years? After that he can go in goal.

That is untrue! I have discovered rare archive footage of an Antonio Valencia assist that came from his left foot.

    Shocking footage.

My problem is you posting excrement in this thread, citing wikipedia as a source when trying to establish the fee paid. Jimmy explained to you why that is utterly stupid, although it really shouldn't need explaining.

You may think it is a bit of fun and not important, but everybody else either has to waste their time reading your bullshìt or has to put you on ignore which makes threads confusing. It would be nice if you would take the slightest bit of intellectual responsibility for what you write and at least try to not act like a retard when you're posting in here. It would be the sound thing for you to do, just to show respect to everybody else who shares this thread and forum with you.

I'm not too nervous about tomorrow, reckon we'll win, and I think it'll be easily enough.

I admire you confidence because this is a hit and miss United team and their performance depends on whether they turn up for the game or not. And as we have seen quite a few times this season, they may not turn up today at all. We should not have lost to Wigan and yet we did. On paper they should win, but that means nothing really. If we are 4 points clear with one game left, then perhaps I'll take the title for granted. Before then, I'll be just keeping the fingers crossed tbh.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

The only worry for me is that we have actually struggled more at home this season then away, looked poorer at home then away and this Villa team will set up in a way that we have found very difficult to break down this season.

Dont expect it to be pretty and will happily take a 1-0 OG win

And if their keeper scores an own goal during a kick out, then so be it.

Hit and miss? We've lost 3 league games this season, hardly hit and miss tbf. The performances may not look that pretty but when we are on to win the league with a potentially record number of points, overall season form can't be called hit or miss ffs.

letting fabio out on loan makes no sense, even less when fryers is still stalling on a new contract

so 2 definits out fabio and berba this could be some summer

    Is it not 4?

Thought we had lost 3 in 32 and 1 in our last 1 games

The performances have been hit or miss alright, but your dead right the form itself has been excellently consistent this season

Yep - we've lost 100% of our last one games.
    Relegation form. :pac:

Im really disappointed to hear that Fabio will be going on loan next year, I really hope Fergie changes his mind and keeps him and plays him!

We all know how much he loves his players with experience however and mad Paddy will be kept for another reason for that alone imo. He would probably still fetch a decent transfer fee if we sold him this summer, but will be worth considerably less each year after that.

Hope it is at least to a good premier league team and that he can come back and be ready to be the 1st choice left back.
