SiClancy: Some people focusing too much on history and la di blinking dah. Liverpool aren't good enough, have bought badly and look tactically poor.

JenChang88: @SiClancy Situation can easily be rectified though if Dalglish/Comolli spend wisely this summer. Repeat of last window would be disaster.

SiClancy: @JenChang88 Would think Comolli's on the brink. Henry and Werner are fair, but he gets less rope than anyone.

JenChang88: @SiClancy don't know why Comolli should take heat for Downing & Adam, those were clearly Dalglish's - he takes some blame for Carroll though.

    Interesting.

    Who's trolling?

I have said nothing that is not true.

Kenny handled the whole thing badly.

Suarez was clearly guilty of racism. It is sheer nonsense to suggest he didn't racially abuse Evra, take those red tints off for 10 seconds and you might see.

well im afraid liverpool are slowly turning into cannon fodder, they up their game for the big clubs and give 200 per cent , but from todays performance should they be rated any higher than the likes of fulham ,
Like go through the player for player , is gerrard any better than dempsey nowadays , they have duff ,zamora , hangeland ,
Honestly player for player I reckon there is very little in the difference.
I think the next few spends are very important for liverpool , if they buy ****e again the money may dry up , and mid table may be all they can hope for.I like to see liverpool just outside the top 4 , i would honestly feel terrible for them to go to pot .

My reading of that is, Comolli's opinion on young players is given precedence, Dalglish on the older players.

No, my point was aimed at people who were happy with the team picked. You asked me who could play DM and I said nobody, Carra or Coady aren't options.

we shouldnt need a kick ass DM against Bolton, it should be them attacked and battered from the outset..we have a technically better team, but there was a lack of effort today...when Liverpool goes a goal down i never think that we cant come back..but we didnt even look like scoring and then they went two up.. game over.... we didnt give them enough respect....lack of pace, lack of pride..lack of drive and selfish players... arghh!! Many games this season, players going for goal when a pass sidewards could get a goal... and Charlie Adam should be a squad player..

I think kenny made a mistake buying the players he did.... shopping list for the last 10 years...2 pacy wingers, 1 pacy striker, 1 creative midfielder.... :(
will this cost 100 million :(

I really don't get what this is based on.

You are talking about professional footballers here!! Irrespective of where they are in the league; if you concede possession easily, don't put them under pressure when they are in possession and let them play, don't track runners and leave big holes in midfield, they are going to take advantage - even of the mighty Liverpool.

I would love to see stats on goals conceded per min with the likes of Lucas in the team and out of the team.

What about kenny and his never play for the club again speech,
They say Benitez was sacked mainly on the players wanting rid .
Woy cause the fans wanted rid.
Kenny hasnt got the respect of either by the looks of things and yet he will never be sacked, itll be a political minefield if he is, he will still be in charge in division 3 and everyone will be too scared to tell him to piss off.
I reckon the American has started to hide his money cause hes too afraid Kenny might ask for more.

On one hand, you imply that the fans or players don't have any respect for Kenny. Then, in the same sentence, you say that the owners won't have the bottle to sack him and seem to imply that this would be down to the potential reaction from the fans or players or someone else (not sure who else to be honest).

You are either a WUM or stupid.

There's a week left of the transfer window and we haven't signing anyone. Striker, DM, winger or attacking midfielder. Without at least 3 signings no top 4 finish. Can't we just forget Carroll. Thank Kuyt and send him om his way.

    Not really no.

I didn't really want him appointed in the first place. As such, I would have no issue calling for him to be sacked if I thought he should be.

    WUM = wind up merchant.

The post that I quoted was absurd. It was of such poor quality that one can only assume that you are looking for a reaction for other posters here. If you honestly claim that you weren't and that it was a genuine post, you aren't exactly a genius. Sorry, I appreciate that that is a bit harsh but that what happens when you post complete horse****.

I dont really talk to the mods , im just sayin that everytime an anti liverpool post comes in , the poster gets called all sorts , I am not a typical united supporter , i have said before i dont want liverpool winning anything but i like them sitting a few positions below united, this leads t great banter with half my family.
I felt very sorry for them last year when relegation was looking possible, I honestly dont wanna see that again.
I think Kenny was a terrible appointment, bringing rafa back would be bad too. Kenny is now blaming the players , they arnt fit for the jersey he gave them when he signed them a few months ago.
Another 100 million spent this summer on ****??
Im not a financial advisor but Liverpool may end up having to pay the next few 100 mill back over a long time. I dont want Ken spending it.

Respect for Kenny will never be in doubt, will never be an issue, and if it is, well...................................

Maybe he should go in the Summer, we'll see. We'll need better alternatives and the fans to keep grounded, unlike when Rafa went.

Kenny will always be a legend but does anybody else think he needs to get with the times? It was great having british players in the 80's when you could tackle but they are not as good as spanish or other nations on the ball and the refs wont let players tackle hard anymore.

Agree with ya but I look at that the other way. All this stopping and starting and fellas rolling around, getting doctors+physios on the pitch, players goin off for 10 seconds and coming back on having "miraculously" recovered....Thats the problem. Proper hard tackles should be allowed!! The game is goin fúckin pansy!! Anyway sorry thats for another thread man!haha

yeah 2 foot off the ground tackles should be allowed and pansy players should just get on with it, broken leg or not! I'm sure they all have solid career options to fall back on after their careers are ended by some player getting a rush of blood to the head...

All I can say about today is that Adam is one useless cnut. He should be put down.

And I don't know how people can blame Carroll. When the midfielders cant hold the ball for more than 2 passes how can you expect him to perform?

That was the worst performance I've seen since Wolves at home last season.

The only positive was the performance of Dalglish in the post match interviews. He gave a lot of players a serious reminder of whats expected.

Aside from Bellamy, every single Liverpool player will have to take a serious look in the mirror.

Carling Cup/Fa Cup ties should not be a distraction, which they clearly were.

I have a feeling Cloptrop is very young, or else hes not the brightest lad around. Its best just ignore him to be honest.

Anyways we badly need a DM this window. Yesterday showed that. Bolton had a free run at our back four on so many occasions and its clear Gerrard and Adam cant play that covering role.

Not really sure who we could get in this window though. We also badly need a pacy striker whos capable of taking on and beating players. Not to mention the whole scoring goals thing.

People always said Babel would never make it because his first touch was so poor. Carroll has a worst first touch and minus the pace.

The Bolton match was an ideal opportunity to deploy a back 3. That might have stifled the huge gaps they opened up.

Charlie Adam and Steven Gerrard should never be allowed to play together in midfield. Neither has the discipline.

on the season so far, pool will be lucky to get any euro spot, let alone 4th. i really thought we'd have a chance, what with the way arsenal n chelsea were/are playing. i hope im proven wrong. d players have a very small team mentality, ie: give 100% vs man u etc, and then only 70% against the rest. starting too slow etc. some players really need to look at themselfs, its just not good enough. imo i think lfc wont buy what we need in the transfer window unfortunetly, anyway what decent player would want to come to us with the way lfc has been playing. ffs wheres the pass n move gone?

Shocking stuff yesterday - hard to know where the blame lies....

the players (apart from Bellamy) were abysmal (second to every ball, standing off their men, waiting for things to happen) but Kenny & co. weren't much better tbh.

It was clear from the opening 3 mins that there was a gigantic gap between the midfielders and defence yet this seemingly wasn't addressed at any stage during the game .

The bench was fairly uninspiring as well...the substitutions were totally irrelevant & made no difference to our complete lack of tempo and strategy.

And, after almost 12 months, I think it is now safe to say that Andy Carroll is not going to be a success at Anfield. Leaving his price tag aside (not his fault), he just doesn't look like he knows where or what he's supposed to be doing on the pitch. It was painful watching him y'day...I think genuine Liverpool fans wanted to see him do well and have been willing to give him time but he's way out of his depth.

Ditto Charlie Adam - he's a decent standard Premiership player but not good enough for the level that we're aspiring to. Again, not his fault that we bought him, and I'm sure he's doing his best, but it just simply isn't good enough.

The league season is now a write-off imo. Very frustrating in a season where Arsenal and Chelsea have been so inconsistent. The prospect of a limp-wristed arm-wrestle with Newcastle for 6th place is not something that I'm looking forward to. Would like to see some of our younger prospects (Sterling, Suso etc) given a chance in the league. Time for Maxi & Kuyt to stand aside.

Hopefully we can raise ourselves for the cup games next week

I know people are disappointed with the results and play this last few weeks but I'm taking a long term view.

While some signings have been poor value for money (Carroll, Henderson, Downing) and some others have not showed much this year (Adam) I think overall our squad is much better than at any time its been in the last 2 years. Losing Lucas was devastating for us given how he had been playing for the past 18 months.

I don't think we'll get the top 4 this season but next season will be a better one for us given the stability now at the club and with some more targeted investment in the squad. Kenny Dalglish didn't come down in the last shower and he'll know what changes have to made and he won't be shy in making them.

He has spent a good bit of money but given that we sold 3 of our best players for about 100 mil in the last 2 years and 2 summers when there was no net investment in the team this was money that had to be spent.

I honestly believe that the last thing we need is another change in manager in the summer (4 different managers in 4 seasons? is that what people want to see). When you give a very god manager time and back him you will get the results.
