Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi That_Guy. Apologies if you thought we were wrongfully accusing you of dodgy dealings. Circumstances didn't make it look to good though but glad to see you're back.

No apology necessary. My fault for not replying sooner. As I say, I'll have the pics up after work.

Just a general question for anybody who has ordered jerseys online from not 100% official sources: Say if they get ceased by customs, are they just taken away or do you get a fine too when they see your name on the package?

Have only had one shirt seized last summer that I ordered from Triads, trying to remember what the letter said.. think it just said it will be destroyed? No fine anyway.

    They seem to have very good communication anyway. One of the jerseys I ordered wasn't in the size available, so they emailed me if I wanted anything else in place of it. I just took a smaller size instead and they said no problem, then I got this email this morning;
    Hi,

We informed you that size Small is available but really it is out of stock as well. We will refund this jersey and send the rest.

    Sorry for the issue.

    Regards,
    julie

TBF lads that youtube video posted from the guy who ordered from Hitjerseys looked good quality. I'm sure we'll be getting our moneys worth should there be no pesky customs workers doing there jobs.

Hey wonder is there any chance a company like this could get past customs by sending packages somewhere else within the EU then repackage them and send them to ireland? Would such a system bypass customs here?

That was one of the methods shown on Black market Ireland on TV3 for getting questionable goods in. The rerouted the package from China to France and then on to Ireland.

Went ahead and ordered on the back of watching that video. Here's hoping customs don't spoil the party.

You do know the jerseys in the videos arent actually from hitjerseys?

He says at the end he has a new order coming in 5/6 days from a new site he just found that gives free delivery with 5 or more shirts, he'll post the link in the discription and report with a new video when they arrive.
Ah crap. Fingers crossed even more so now :pac:

Don't worry, as long as they come through customs they'll be fine, all these jerseys are coming from the same places in China & Thailand, I've used so many similar sites over the years.

    Hey That_Guy,

Do you from the envelope markings did the jerseys come straight from Asia to here or come through another EU country?

    Jerseys are quality btw :).

If they get siezed at customs can you get your money refunded?

Quality those like, might order a few NFL and NBA jerseys off it.

You seriously need to sort those sheets out though :pac:

Absolutely delighted they seem to have proper printing aswell.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

Those sheets are exactly like the ones I used to have at home.

BTW to the person who asked this is straight from Julie's sexy email:
    Hi John,

Yes there are times when Customs took our packages away and we refund or ship again if such issue happens.

As for measurement, please refer to http://www.hitjerseys.net/jerseys-size.html

The measurement varies a little by different jerseys.

    Regards,
    JULIE

Make of that what you will but let's hope nobody has to rely on that scenario.

    http://www.hitjerseys.net/cheap-soccer-jerseys/euro-2012/ireland-11-13-home-soccer-jersey-and-short-kit-14537.html

Ireland jersey up without 3 Sponsor. Now all 3 Jerseys are up and Sponsorless!

(Sorry if its been posted already went back 4-5 pages)

At just over €13 its not a bad investment.

The general rule with shirts like these is to hand wash only in cool water!

Nonsense I've got about 10 jerseys from these type of websites and they're nearly all grand after been Machine washed . Only prob is with the numbers starting to peel off after awhile but that's why I don't get any name or numbers on them anymore .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Hence why you don't machine wash them!

Turning em inside out, pillowcase on top and red hot iron will usually sort that peeling though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,959 ✭✭✭Jesus Shaves

Colours will run into each other if you machine wash them

How was any of my post nonsense? In fact you completely backed it up!

Of course you can machine wash them, but like you said lettering and logos may peel after a while. Hand washing pro longs them!
