Haven't had one in ages but a Twix bar does it for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,383 ✭✭✭emeraldstar

All of them? Hehe, no I don't have one definite favourite but several I really love. Moro and Yorkie are way up there. Wispa Gold. Caramel, I think. Bournville. Good old Dairy Milk. Finding myself buying Twirls more and more too, and would occasionally pick up a Golden Crisp. Certain Milka flavours: Triolade and Choco-Croquant, not that I get those very often. And I love dark, dark chocolate: 70-80% or higher.

Really? Tough luck dude. They're selling Cadbury's Caramels - 7 for the price of 5 - here in Morrison's right now! My favourite bar is probably the KitKat or Twirl.

    Cadburys caramello.
    Lindt extra creamy.

Snoflakes! I'd forgotten about them! They were amazing.

My favourite is probably Kinder Maxis. Amazing feckers. I'm also partial to Galaxy Caramels, and Lion bars.

Where do you buy kit-kat oranges? I had only heard of them but never saw one.

Anyone ever come across the white-chocolate Twix? It was out on trial here a few months before Christmas, but I don't know if it was available back in Ireland.

Speaking of Lidl they have slashed the price of their "fake" Snickers/Twix/Mars bars. 22c each I think.

Most of my favourite bars are gone now!:( I loved Fuse bars and Lion peanut bar but they can't be gotten anymore! :(

I still love Bounty. And does anybody remember the cola-flavoured Whoppa bars? I could have a mountain of those! :P

Question: would Turkish Delight make anyone's list? It's the most God-awful bar I've ever tasted! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,383 ✭✭✭emeraldstar

Yeah, Fuse bars were lovely. I was very annoyed when they got rid of them!

I'd never bother buying Turkish but I'd eat a piece or two if it was in the house. Maybe not the whole bar. It's grand like but it wouldn't bother me if they got rid of it. But then I'm not a junkie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭rednik

I'd take a time out for a drifter.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,343 ✭✭✭Dull and Boring

Ah yeah, God love them, junkies love a little Turkish delight. :D

I had one when I was in Germany last year. They were so good!

Am chocolate for lent and its so hard
Gotta say my favourite is a Bounty. Can't wait to have one again!

Did anybody here ever taste the dark chocolate mars bars? One of the nicest bars I've ever tasted! Has milky-way type stuff inside instead of the usual hard chewy stuff.

Favourite bars would have to be curly wurly and crunchie.

You can't do that! I've gone from Ash Wednesday to now without a scrap of chocolate. I'm *really* looking forward to Easter!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,185 ✭✭✭Thumpette

Hmmmm I really shouldnt be reading this threat- doesnt help my diet!

I've gone through many phases in my chocolate eating career, I love Lions, toffee crisps, galaxys, galaxy caramels, lindt, but i think, if I was to only have one bar of chocolate as mu last wish on this world- I'd probably go with a good old fashioned (chilled) dairymilk, yom!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,728 ✭✭✭MoodeRator

Caramac for me, if I can ever find the damn things again :(
Failing that I would kill for a Cabana right now! But feck no, that cant be bothering their ar$es to make that any more!:mad: Maybe Sam Tyler can get me some:P

    Galaxy. Repeatedly dipping it in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 365 ✭✭doriansmith

Moro has to win for me, they're amazing

    Honourable mentions:
    Raisin & biscuit Yorkie
Cadbury's Fruit & Nut (but only the giant version, it doesn't taste as good when it's the small bars)
    Galaxy Ripple

I love Fry's Orange Cream as well but they stopped selling it years ago here. Recently found it again in a couple of shops, drool

    Oh man. So many.

Lately I've been partial to Drifters and Toffee Crisps. I wouldn't say no to Crunchie or Galaxy. But I think Terry's Chocolate Orange would be my overall favourite.

Ones I like to dunk into a cup of tea are Drifter, Twix and Twirl. Would never dunk the likes of a Bounty or a Crunchie.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 30,657 Mod ✭✭✭✭Faith

Would never dunk the likes of a Bounty or a Crunchie.

    That would be pure madness.

It may be cliched and predictable, but it is called the kitkat straw for a reason. Kitkat + coffee = win.
