Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who can bring my car for NCT?

Hi - my car needs to be tested. Times don't suit me going by the website. Can my husband or brother bring it on my behalf? I see they emphasise bringing id with you so I am not sure how that would work.
    Thanks

Anyone as long as they bring ID for themselves (not yours)

yes, once they have the Log Book (VLC) and ID with them they can bring it. I brought my grandads car for NCT last month.

No problem as long as they are insured to drive the car and have a licence with them for id.

Make sure they bring the logbook too, most now insist on this also.

The reasoning for id of the person bringing the car for test is to look for obvious patterns of people presenting cars for testing to particular nct workers who might be doing them favours. This would have been untraceable before as car would generally be in someone else's name.

    Thanks. I'll remind them.
Great username btw - saw the boat when it was at north wall many moons ago. It was massive - much as I expected.
