Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its like the deep south, the backwards part of the internet where people still lynch black people and go on about Jesus. i.e. 4chan

It's related to the Interweb but is not so shallow, it's also very wide, some say there is no end to it-we lock those people for their own good in a rubber room where they play handball with their own ****e.
    Imho.

If you download Tor from torproject you will probably be able to find all sorts of stuff. Sites like hidden wiki are accessible only by using tor as far as I know.

    hidden wiki >> ***

S'funny because my Ma used to say that to me when I was a kid.

    'you have a vivid imagination'

    My Dad use to say:

'No more questions now kiddo - I want to have a smoke'.

Saw a story about this on Channel 4 a few months ago. I strongly suspect it was highly exxagurated if not total bullshyte

Anything not indexed on a search engine is the correct answer. There's different forms of course, nothing terribly exciting though. You'd have to be completely retarded to respond to an "Assassin for Hire" personal ad anywhere, let alone the "deep web".

Anyone who says something as silly as 'shore my mother smoked 20 a day when she was pregnant with me an amn't I fine?' has, unfortunately, been afflicted with a moderate form of cognitive impairment.

    "Bitcoin"

It would be very tempting to overhype the Deep Web. A ton of it is very unexciting web content that can't be accessed by search engines. Think about anything you pay to use online, and the pages that appear when you progress through forms or use your account control panel, etc.

Then there are ancient parts of the web from decades ago that didn't integrate with newer ways of delivering content.

Then there is the off search engine version of the web we use every day. Discussion forums like this, except people are talking about anarchism or conspiracy theories or fetish porn or the likes.

A small part is the "darkweb", which is where the pedophiles and the bad men (supposedly - I haven't gone looking for them myself obviously) hang out.

There are free software tools like Freenet or Tor that you can download to get you started. Needless to say, be forewarned about the obvious vulnerabilities your machine may be exposed to if you start clicking around with abandon.

As said already, it consists of stuff from long ago and data which hasn't been indexed (Which is an insane amount compared to what you can see like things you Google)

Alot of that data is useless and boring with various communities on random subjects like conspiracy theories, experiments and small paedo forums though they're obviously monitored so I wouldn't recommend being curious and go looking for them at all.

Hidden wiki contains a good run-down of the more popular stuff that's out there though it does include some disturbing articles regarding paedo porn.

I imagine it's more like geocities and anglefire sites from the late 90's. GIF's of stuff spinning around, tiled wallpaper as page backgrounds and page counters on sites dedicated to peoples top 10 movies

Guide to finding/info on the hidden wiki:

    www.youtube.com
    "Hidden wiki"
Watch the 5 min video by some french guy
You now know everything needed to access the 'deep web'.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,536 ✭✭✭Stiffler2

The Deep Web is like the ocean and Google's Fishing Vessels nets are only able to trawl the surface of the ocean.

What lies beneath this is known as "The Deep Web", "The Darknet" or the "The Dark Web"

You can use programs such as freenet or Tor to access these deep web sites.
It's basically just a vlan on the net or works in a similiar fashion.

You can download the client and access something called "The Hidden Wiki".

The Hidden Wiki will be your starting point in onionland.
here you will find drug dealers, hitmen across the world, all sorts of mad & illegal stuff you wouldn't find elsewhere.

It's almost impossible to crack Tor but I think a few people have.
Assange started his Wikileaks site using Tor and freenet which kept all of his cables secret

Go to the Tor website, download the vidalia bundle and run.
Google or Yahoo the hidden wiki and search for the URL.
It ends with .onion instead of .com as it isn't advertised on the open net.

It can also be very slow but there are things you can do to speed up Tor & Freenet
