Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Used to roleplay, play text based strategy games, play battletech, had ~1,000 sci-fi+fantasy books, learn java programming and keep up to date with all facets of technology(from the latest advances in TN and S-IPS panels to changes to pixel shaders in a graphics card).

While I can't remember any of it, I used to be able to do far too much with DOS than your average 12 year old should have been able to do in those times...

When my parents left me alone in the house when is was 13/14, I didn't throw parties or drink or other wild things, I took the pc's apart and tinkered with them...

That's how you learn. By breaking stuff then fixing it before people notice.

edit: this practice is also acceptable in the real world, so it seems.

    Christ, where to start.

I have a degree in technolgy.

I am involved in a video game related start up.

I work for one of the top three software companies in the world as a sftware consultant.

I love transformers, comics, and all things 80's.

I used to roleplay and occasionally went to cons. Then I got a gf :)

I have alot of solitary pursuits I enjoy (reading, especially pratchett and DNA, drawing).

Thats offset by the fact I play funky bass though, I think. :)

Also, I consider nerd a complement.
