Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Try it with a slice of cucumber too, I was told about this 2 weeks ago and it was quite nice. Dunno how it will taste if the drink is warm though.

Where did you get this from???

hmmmmm some clashes but overall not so bad...

After my fairly indifferent mood towards EP over the last 8 months or so and bitterness about most of the lineup, now that we're only a few days away my excitement is building nicely and I cant fooking wait to get down there.

That moment of relief as you open the first can after setting up the tent, bring it on :)

The Killers and Hot Chip on the same time too??

All the headlining acts seem to be clashing, bad planning IMO. They should all be following each other on the main stage really (maybe not Ed)

It now means leaving one act half way through their set to get to the other band

Thanks. Suppose you probably cant answer, but where did you get this?

I'd print this off/download it cos if EP find out they'll have it taken down sharpish I'd say!

Vaccines and The Xx clashing  Other than that it doesnt seem that bad. I would hate to have the job of making the timetable its impossible to keep everyone happy!

Exactly, take number of "headline" bands you are interested in, divide by number of main stages - that's how many you'll see if you're lucky. Always the way. :(

    Quick note to EP virgins:

    It will never be as good as '04, '05, '06, '07, '08, '09, '10, '11

(Just in case no-one gets around to mentioning that to you :pac:)

as expected, saturday has loads of clashes. why couldn't they have more big names on friday, some balance.

    richard hawley or junior boys?
grimes or the end of the cure?
    squarepusher or orbital?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,003 ✭✭✭catch--22

Is it just me or are the main stages clsoing very early this year? Most last acts wrapping up around midnight?

I assume in fairness a lot of them big bands are tied into other gigs and can only play on the Sat, or Sat is the best fit for them if they have gigs elsewhere in Europe on Sunday or Friday etc?

Yeah, it's actually not that bad on a second look they have two headliners following each other each night on main stage and then the others taking a different stage each. can't please everyone :)

it's maybe a tiny bit earlier than last year, but most were over by midnight:

i don't actually mind that too much, a bit more time to spend watching acts in B&S area!

They mentioned that in a Hotpress interview this week. Playing a full set instead of the standard festival slot.

Would prefer the standard festival slot! Could lose the crowd on a long set

don't they always play long festival sets?

dunno about the rest of crowd, but they lost me at Oxegen 2004, I drifted off when I didn't recognise most of the songs

The set in 2004 was made up of more obscure and newer material. It was awesome! I noticed allot of people lost a bit of interest when they didn't play any of their hits... butt that's not necessarily what seeing the cure is about. I think this time should be more mainstream. Check out the set list from Reading for an idea

Had a feeling that EP would release the timetable earlier as a result..

    Well here it is: http://electricpicnic.ie/downloads/EPtimetable2012.pdf

Pretty sure it's the exact same as the earlier one..

    few small changes.

like Junior Boys on the sunday now at 12am instead of Saturday at 7pm and clashing with Richard Hawlet! Get in
