    http://rte.ie/news/2007/0717/germany.html

I've been there a hundred, thousand times but still what a waste of a computer. I hope it wasn't new.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,761 ✭✭✭✭Winters

    Why?

Throwing a computer out the window in frustration - FUNNY

Ruining a Harry Potter book for no aparant reason - NOT FUNNY

Probably using Vista  Worse OS ever... or at least that I've tried. Haven't used any of Apples so can't compare with that!

spoiler tags are there for a reason.

*attacks winters with a dead fish*

haha! my computer though... seriously, from time of turning on, to the time where i can actually *use* it, has taken over two hours before.

When I used to work in hardware freelance I used to call this the "Windows Test"

Me "Have you tried the windows test ?"

    Customer "No what's that ?"

Me "Well basically take it upstairs and throw it out of the window ! It won't fix it but you'll feel alot better about it !" :D

    I know, but, I have no self control - I couldn't resist

My lack of restraint isn't your fault then really I suppose

yeah but your sig isn't spoilered now is it.

    EDIT: Now it is... hmmm

I'll admit i've punched my keyboard once or twice, the PC's in college where particularly bad, they would hang just before you where about to save an hours worth of work. That usually called for ripping the mouse from the pc and throwing it across the room.

Windows 98 made me want to do it a lot of times but i lived on the ground floor so the effect would have made it a pointless excercise.

I am so annoyed at Winters post there. Listen its no problem discussing something and putting spoilers around it so as not to spoil other peoples enjoyment. But to put it into a random thread is not fair. If i had known that harry potter spoilers were in this thread i wouldn't have even opened it so don't give me the spoilers are there for a reason answer. If the spoiler wasn't related to the news story the OP posted you should have said so.
