It's a lot less bitter than jackhammer I find and feels better balanced.

It's a tenner which I don't mind spending on a beer that's a bit of an experience (I know I'm probably buying into it) but I wouldn't bat an eyelid on a bottle of wine at the same price and there's only a 90ml in the difference (660ml vs 750ml).

Hop priority is a great beer. I think it's on par if not better than born to die but will probably die a death as it'd be harder for trouble to make money on compared to brewdog.

I think born to die is nicer than foam (I really dislike foam in bottles compared to draught) vs the draught I'd say born to die just edges it but that's just my personal opinion.

Molloys have tweeted that they have 3 bottles in their Clonsilla, Liberties and Leopardstown branches. I presume that's 3 bottles in each branch, but it's not 100% clear.

Where are the other 3 gone then? The boxes have 12 bottles in them.

That's 3 per branch, plus three for whoever else.

    Serious credit to drinkstore.

Put in a big enough order with them at 230am this morning and its getting delivered to me this evening. Was fully expecting it to be next week. Delighted with that! :D

I was in about an hour ago... Born to die all gone BTW. Saw the lads with about 12-14 cases of various beer thought it was a delivery... Was it your order? :pac:

There was Modius Hoperandi left though. 4 for €10. :D

It is actually any use? Is it more of Brewdog's clever marketing?

I imagine I'll have it in The Beer Market when its tapped just to see if it lives up to the hype.

Picked up the last bottle of born to die earlier in clonsilla molloys.

You guys will make me broke.

Not sure what to have tonight now.

Have the born to die, 200 fathoms and lagunitis cappuccino stout.

    1st world problems right here.

Anyone have any knowledge of Molloy's leopardstown? Is the craft selection similar to their nutgrove store?

Both McHughs had at least 8 bottles each of BTD at 7pm.

Heard also that McHughs are getting a 6%IPA Brewed in Kinnegar exclusive to McHughs in bottles and growler.

If it works they plan to do a series with different breweries.

It is definitely a superb beer in my opinion.
As much as i enjoy Jackhammer, this thing is super fresh and really well balanced, great aroma!
Glad i've another bottle in the fridge. Looking forward to trying it on draught next weekend in aberdeen

    Quoting myself, a new low.

Anyway for anyone who cares I decided on the Cappuccino Stout and by God it hasn't disappointed.

Will definitely be buying a few more bottles.

Creamy, sweet but not overly so, thick. Just lovely stout.

I wasn't in the mood for an IPA and the 200 fathoms nearly sounded like its a special occasion kinda thing with its waxed top bottle.

Had a hop hunter followed by full Irish. Having a no bristle now and my god the utter blandness is killing me. Is it always like this?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,748 ✭✭✭✭Lovely Bloke

you're drinking it after Full Irish, the same happened to me with Trouble Sabotage the other day.

We really need to pick the order we drink beers in more carefully.

Just had H9bgoblin Ruby beer. Hadn't had one in a long time. Nicer than I remember, stupidly had some honey roasted peanuts, ruined the rest.
