Is there a realistic chance of that happening in the next few years? What a course you could make there *drool*

  • Registered Users Posts: 988 ✭✭✭25sean

Yeah a Dublin City Cross race... when hell freezes over as they say.. maybe TCD!

the pre-reg will be through a link on the FB page alright

I tried Phoenix Park 2 years in a row, with some contacts and talking to the 'right' people in there, but their response... "we've reached our quota for events this year!"

    Nope!

You can run marathon's, Cross country running, Cricket, Soccer, Horse polo, Raves/dance music events, have BBQ's etc etc...

Just not bicycles, in case they erm... "ruin the grass?"... :(

Cross country runs make a right mess of the grass.

Whoever was in the OPW in 2007 didn't mind people cycling on the grass, shame it's not like that now.

Bikes are fine as part of a triathlon though

True! I did notice a half Ironman Tri event for next year in the park..

God help us if there were tyre tracks on the grass!
