Think I glanced at a headline somewhere that Tab 4 is being released May 1st. Could be completely wrong though.
Same tablet is €129 + postage on Expansys as well, black or white colour. Out of stock for a few days at the minute though so PC World is probably the better deal.

Ordered same tablet from asda direct for 79 gbp. Used parcel
    motel 3.50 euro postage.
No problem using parcel motel id as name.

Yeah but the Asda deal is over is it not?

    :edit: Oh it's back!!!

Not a bargain, sorry. The Asus Memo Pad is a much better buy IMHO.

Kenny what's the best deal for a Memo Pad?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,061 ✭✭✭Kenny Logins

At the moment, I think Currys/PC World @ €129. But HUKD has reported it as low as £89 recently - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/asus-memo-pad-hd-7-16gb-wifi-tablet-blue-89-online-with-code-3-quidco-89-clubcard-1876385

£99 on Amazon, but with the VAT increase and exchange rate, it'll be close to €129. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EOMRAKI

    No doubt about it imo

Asda is cheaper at 79 sterling and deal is back on so keep checking.

The reviews for the Tab are desperate! I think the best one I saw described it as mediocre.

Don't mind that sh1te. I can tell you its a fine tab, and if you can nab it for £79, its a no-brainer.

certainly is a no brainer for the price, no doubt about that

What custom kernel did you use? Is it as straight forward to root as an android phone?

Last phone I rooted was the hTC desire! so its been a while.

    does it improve performance much?

Some blackhawk kernel .. Also installed performance suite from xda... Rooting via odin straight forward....no custom rom yet..using nova launcher

Asus Memo Pad HD7 in Currys for €129.

Asus Memo Pad HD7 in Currys for €129.

I'm thinking of buying one for much the same purposes - but would like a 10" one - the Asus Memo Pad 10" seems to be about €229 most places - anyone found them cheaper anywhere else or recommend an alternative quality 10" tab?

    Thanks

It's the old model (I think, they seem to have it listed twice...).

I prefer the Asus Memo pad, but if you need the extra 16gb, yeah, it's a good deal.

This Nexus 7 is much better value IMO, even if its an extra €35.

x4 amount of storage, better resolution, stock android and much faster all around.

    Or this even.

I have to agree. The tab 3 7" is a basic tablet by 2014 standards. Got one for the father at Christmas and while its perfectly fine for some browsing or youtube, the lag really annoys me.

The Nexus 7 (2012 or 2013 versions)would definitely be a better buy IMO

Is the google one the 2014 version?

How is the tab 3 8 inch for 180 Eur?
I really want a good camera and in most reviews it says the google camera is crap, so thats why im leaning towards the tab 3 8 inch.
