Oh, and in relation to your post, Korn, Inflames and Enter Shikari are fecking unreal!

Nice to see a fellow ASIWYFA fan, too!

It's a rare mix of favourite bands we share, Gualot, are you sure you're not just some sock puppet I'm using to bolster my reputation on the R&M forum?

Aye, ASIWYFA are a national treasure, seems like they're only getting better as well!

    Not necessarily in that order.

    1-The Pixies
    2-Nirvana
    3-Sparklehorse
    4-Silversun Pickups
    5-Foo Fighters
    6-Smashing Pumpkins
    7-Red Hot Chili Peppers
    8-Kasabian
    9-REM
    10-Sunny Day Real Estate

Radiohead, Slint, The xx and Pearl Jam almost made it in.

Mine changes regularly, so I'll take my top 10 most played, according to last.fm, for the past 6 months

    Def Leppard
    Stone Sour
    Iron Maiden
    Journey
    Down
    Alice Cooper
    AC/DC
    Foreigner
    Black Country Communion
    Racer X

I saw Journey, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Foreigner and BCC this summer so played them alot in the run up :D

It's been a year... let's see if it's changed at all!

    1) Stone Sour
    2) Korn
    3) Iron Maiden
    4) Tom Petty
    5) REO Speedwagon
    6) Slipknot
    7) Chase & Status
    8) Foreigner
    9) Def Leppard
    10) Pearl Jam

Not too much of a difference... Def Leppard slipped pretty far down, Chase & Status & KoRn are there because I saw them this year.

    Big Star
    REM
    Judas Priest
    The Byrds

    Ian Dury & The Blockheads
    Streetlight Manifesto
    The Posies
    Morris Minor & The Majors

Yeah I'd probably take AC/DC, Rolling Stones and Red Hot Chili Peppers off my list and put Alice in Chains, Stone Sour and Staind there instead.

Rammstein - my first ever metal band. I got into them at the tender age of 11. They are the reason I did German throughout secondary school and again in college. Still my number 1 band right now and I'm 26.

Metallica - I have the M star tattoo'd on my shoulder and the Justice statue on my right arm :)
    Oomph
    Eisbrecher
    Megaherz
    Fear Factory
    The Prodigy
    Slipknot
    Knife Party
    Arch Enemy

    Trivium

Hmm. One year on and there arent many changes to be made! Maybe now Id add in Skid Row and take out perhaps GNR but other than that I surprise myself with my consistency

It is a very difficult thing to put up just ten, I have so many and it depends on the mood you're in. However, the top ten for today.

    Rammstein
    Metallica
    Nirvana
    Alice in Chains
    Pearl Jam
    Led Zep
    Pink Floyd
    Thin Lizzy
    The Doors
    Type O Negative

I love ASIWYFA. They make basic riffs sound so good. Set Guitars to Kill is a tune and a half.

They're in my top ten! I've got one shared spot for Soilwork/Dark Tranquillity/Scar Symmetry. Love me some melodic death. I actually saw DT in June at Metaltown, they put on one hell of a show.

Yeah, that'd be my favourite by them. Takes a lot to make instrumental music as interesting as theirs is.

You should check out a German band called Long Distance Calling. I don't know if we're allowed to link videos on this thread but look up the song Into The Black Wide Open or The Nearing Grave.

Wow, yeah I'm just listening to them now, this is excellent. It's a lot more textured and ambient than ASIWYFA but I see where you're coming from. Thanks a million for the referral :pac:

    1. System of a Down
    2. Tool
    3. Metallica
    4. Smashing Pumpkins
    5. Nirvana
    6. Slipknot
    7. Queens of the Stone Age
    8. And so I watch you from Afar
    9. Thin Lizzy
    10. Rage against the Machine

By the way, could anyone recommend any really really class band/album that I should be listening to? As you can see most of the bands I listen to are from prior to early naughties, 90's and 80's.

The only really class mind blowing band I've stumbled across the last 7 years is "And so I watch you from afar" :( Surely metal hasnt died a complete death?

REM - Fan since 1995, seen em live 18 times (including meeting a girl front row in Atlanta, fast forward to now and we've an amazing little daughter), the office even gifted us REM baby-grows.Great people, great staff,to many memories to list here, could fill a book. I'd struggle to name 9 other bands I give much of a **** about. Baffled to only see em mentioned 4 times in 10 pages, but oh well, they were fantastic.

Pearl Jam. Start with Ten, then Vs, then Yield. Fantastic band.
Spurs are incredibly lucky here. AVB did not announce his arrival, as the commentator said, United should have scored at least one in the last 30 mins. Gifted the opening half by an awful team choice from Fergie.

Fergie deserves the defeat, though. Ridiculous team to start. Giggs may need to pull a Neville at this stage and take himself out of the equation. He is offering nothing other than giving Fergie hope that he can still play at the highest level.

1.U2-Grew up with them, great songwriters
2.The Beatles-Brought rock 'n roll into the popular music scene
3.Blink-182-Soundtrack to my teenage years, who cares if they write three chord songs, I sure don't
4.Third Eye Blind-Songs contain a lot of emotion.
5.Thin Lizzy-The band who's singer was "the only black man in Ireland" with a guitarist just as unique
6.Green Day-Gone a tad of "off the rails" today, but their old stuff is gold
7.Arctic Monkeys-Alex Turners sheffield accent proved you don't have to croon to make the girls swoon.
8.Bloc Party-There fans are douchebags(myself included) but their guitar riffs kept the instrument alive in the 00's
9.Coldplay-Like a collagen shot to the aging face of rock n' roll
10Kings Of Leon- Incredible live band and not too bad in the recording studio either:)
