And with a tax cost (yearly registration fee) of $35 - $60, and petrol at $3.53/gal... why wouldn't you buy one?

    Stupid Ireland.

Thats mad, what are petrol prices like in the US compared to here?

Literally half the price when you do the converting...

It's 3.53/gal average at the moment IIRC, high grade might be slightly higher (say 3.74/gal)

Regular unleaded is about $3. 65/gal here in Idaho. That's 96 cents per litre. Converting to euros at today's rates that's about 67c/litre. Americans still think they're paying too much for fuel!

Just as a matter of interest, how much is it for a gallon on Diesel.?

True,my work colleagues in the U.S are always complaining about it

Diesel is about $4/gal. (1 US gallon being 3.8 litres)
I think I could count the number of diesel cars in my town on one hand. Pretty much the only cars available with diesel engines here are Volkswagens and Audis, and most Americans opt for gas engines because of the perception that diesel is for trucks and trains and costs about 40c/gal more than regular gas.

It's the reflection of the grass, can be seen in the round lamp too

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,484 ✭✭✭✭Stephen

Yeah, there's some glass in front of the round headlights, and its just catching a reflection.

Have an uncle in New Jersey and asked him last time how come they weren't more popular given the mileage everyone does over there. He said its mostly due to them being a b!t(h to start in the cold, most people need a block heater to get them going during winter.

That now accompanies a 530d and an 850Ci.

Plus, it may be boring but it has an interesting history.
