    Right,

I'm going out on a limb here, but does anyone remember this film from the 80's / early 90's.

I've posted all I can remember, if you can help, I'd be much obliged.

It was about a man in America, who meets this woman from another planet.

She is dressed in red. Her her is kind of slicked back.

She takes him to a planetarium to show him her home planet using a red laser pointer.

Then they go outside and she make it start to snow.

That's all I can remember! Any ideas?

    Thanks
    B

that does sound very familiar i'll have to ponder on it for a while :D

Can you remember any actors, or where it was set

anything else, even a minor detail might help

I can't remember any of the actors. I just vaguely remember that
the woman had dark hair and reminds me of Bebe Neuwirth, who
played Fraiser's uptight wife Lilith in Cheers.

It was in a city in America. I think the Planetarium is the key,
hopefully it will shake something loose from some kind soul like yourself.

I'd give my left icicle to find out what this one was:D

Could it have been a TV show
something like Mystery Science Theater 3000

or a really early episode of 3rd rock from the sun maybe ?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

Yeah i think that's about the closest match, but her hair isn't slicked back ?¿¿?¿¿?

but a plot summary on IMDB says this

An alien is sent on a secret mission to Earth, where she appears as a gorgeous, attractive, and single lady. Her mission is to make contact with a rather nerdy young scientist, who's quite overwhelmed by her attentions, and isn't aware of the connection between her arrival and his work. Written by Murray Chapman <muzzle@cs.uq.oz.au>

Widowed astronomer Steven Mills accidentally sends a great surge of energy out into space, threatening life on another world. They respond by dispatching one of their race disguised in deliberately attractive human form (Celeste Martin) to Earth to sort things out, accompanied by a rather less attractive superior (Bag). Steven is indeed attracted, as is his untrustworthy brother, while Celeste becomes increasingly fond of Steven's young daughter. Written by Jeremy Perkins <jwp@aber.ac.uk>

I had a look at "My Stepmother is an Alien." It is definitely not the film I'm after.

I had a look around and found a list of "Movies and Shows that feature a Planetarium."

    http://www.ips-planetarium.org/pubs/PlanetarialnMovies.html

Again no luck with any of the ones featured on that site.

It might come in handy for anyone else out there who is searching
for a film with a Planetarium in it :)

I seem to remember it was on Channel 4 late one night.

No it's not Weird Science. I only saw that a while ago, still
    a very funny film.

    Thanks for trying though :)

It was back in the late 80s / early 90s that I saw it.

I like Luc Besson films though. Nikita is one of my favourites.

    Thanks for trying though :)

This could be a life-long search for you!

Rack your brains. There must be some other important or unique detail you can recall. Then it might be possible to search by keyword.

I hate not being able to identify a film. If it was a TV programme though, I'll be stumped.

I think the Planetarium is the key. Hopefully it will trigger something
and somebody will post up an answer.
