The only sports writing I'm aware of that Bertie has done was his entry as Taoiseach in the George Best book of condolences when he expressed his deepest sympaty on behalf of the Irish goverment.

    Does this really matter?

Sports punditry/journalism is valueless garbage anyway.

A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits.

I was watching tv this evening and a add came on advertising an Evening newspaper and the columnists from the paper were hidden in different items in the kitchen.
Bertie Aherne our ex Taoiseach who is the GAA columnist for this paper was in a cupboard, the country is going down the drain and he is making adds, looking at him laughing i suddenly realised he is giving the rest of us the two fingers.
He is being paid as a member of our Government and i would think his time would better spent trying to get us out of the hole he got the country into up to now i have voted Fianna Fáil not anymore.

Like Bob Hoskins used to say on the BT ad... "It's good to talk" :D

My opinion is the amount of effort being expended apportioning blame greatly outweighs the amount of effort being expended fixing what's wrong.

    That's just not right. :(
