Picked up 6 500ml bottles of Perlenbacher in Lidl today for 4.99

Its a pretty good beer, and a very good price

They are usually 6 for €7 which is a good deal, and usually highlighted as a deal. No mention of it on their site, will have to pay a visit.

Just been to my local lidl to pick some up for the bf and they were marked at €6.99 and scanned at €6.99.

Strange. I just double checked my receipt... it says German Pilsner 4.99.

Must have been in Lucan only

Tasty stuff. Not sure it's the kind of thing you'd want to drink 12 of in one sitting though.

on the same track in aldi theres a beer called oettinger, pilsner 6 for 7 euros, very good quality.

is it this stuff? I think its usually about 1.20 a can, but is often on special at 85c..nice beer..I tried that perlenbacher stuff(or whatever its called) as my mate was raving about it- wasn't impressed at all...

Keep an eye out for schofferhofer,

its the business but its 2 euro a bottle, I'm waiting for that to go on special, although Ive been waiting a long time now..

Isn't Schofferhofer normally available in Aldi? Didn't think Lidl ever sold it?

Has any1 ever seen any weiss beers in lidl or aldi for around the 1.50 euro mark? I want to stock up on a case or 2 but not at 2 euro a bottle.

No. Thats their special price. But their other stuff has really dropped since the budget- eg. Excelcior(sp) 3.04 for 4. The stronger cans are 1.05 I think. Their cheap brandy is down to 11.99 and their cognac (which is excellent) is less than 16euro.
