Ghosting HD .. for free ?????

    Is there any free program out there that would allow me to ghost a HD ?

    example : have an old laptop with a small HD , was hoping to take out the HD , put it into my HD caddy and connect it to my main pc .. ghost the HD to a folder , then connect a new larger HD to the caddy and onto the pc and ghost the hd back over ........... is this even possible ?

    and is there any freeware program that would do it ?
