    I think people can be divided into two category's;
Those who play Russian roulette by whipping out there USB sticks in a nonchalant manner
People who follow the slow & steady 'Safely remove hardware' approach

Do you dance with the devil?

    What's "safely remove hardware"?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,901 ✭✭✭Twilightning

I drink orange juice straight out of the carton.

Leave the door open while I take a leak if I'm feeling adventurous.

It's taking the hammer out of the screen.

I always safely remove my UzzzzBA.

I also leave the blue ring on the plastic milk cartons. Makes the coffee taste better.

I'm one of those staid, boring old folks who think "I spent €1,200 on this computer. I think I'll try to not actively do things to help it break."

I subscribe to the saying, "If you're not living on the edge then you're taking up too much space".

Safely remove hardware? Ha! I didn't even renew my Anti-virus software.

If it is my usb gadget then I just take it out, if it is somebody elses then I do it the safe way.

Pulling out prematurely? You know that doesn't help right?

You have to be much more careful when inserting the stick!!!11one

Whipping out there USB sticks in a nonchalant manner = when you have a lend of somebody else's USB stick or it belongs to work.

People who follow the slow & steady 'Safely remove hardware' approach = when it's your USB stick.

My laptop has decided it doesnt want to give me the 'safely remove' option anymore (because Vista has AIDS) and it takes too long to go abouts trying to safely remove it the other way so I just whip it out.

I've never lost a man* yet

Made me think of this song, "And dance with the devil!"

I pull the thing out once the light stops blinking on the USB device

i would be the exact opposite.. it's only 10euro to yourself but you look a tit if you break someone elses not doin it the safe way,

by the way, as long as data isn't copying or being read, jus whip it out.. then its safe
