    I've watched porn - it's either funny or boring. Nothing remotely erotic or arousing about it. The hardcore stuff is just disturbing.

    Only 20 years ago if you asked this question the 95% who voted yes would've been seen as the trench-coat, perverted brigade- how times have changed. Crazy really- it went from something perceived as pathetic and undesirable to something that is practically celebrated nowadays. There's a tediousness to the consensus pro-porn thing now though- The boast "look at me i watch porn and i'm totally cool about it" always strikes me as just annoying and obtuse, what with all the underlying issues surrounding p0rn. Not fashionable to talk about the unsavoury aspects of p0rn in this day and age but still true tbh. I love the-Rigger's take on it though. Seem to remember him saying in another thread something like "C'mon, who here hasn't looked at their share of midget, donkey p0rn every once in a while <_< ". Classic. Very well observed.

    And yeah of course i have- (vanilla p0rn that is of course, not the midget, donkey variety :) )

    Yeah, it annoys me when there are yells of "prude!" if you have any valid concerns about porn. I used to be of the view that it's up to the person (woman more specifically I suppose) if they want to take part. I realise now I was being quite naive. It's not as simple as that at all. A season of programmes on - where else? - Channel 4, as well as the documentary on BBC, Hardcore, changed my view. It's a nasty, cold industry.

    I admittedly watch it every other night, Ive a much higher sex drive than the OH although I have to say I wud prob beat him with a stick If I saw him watching it!!Strange really:p

    The Linda Lovelace documentary made for tough viewing too (although there are claims she was bullsh1tting).
    The Traci Lords story is an interesting one - she lied about her age and was a minor when she made most of her films... until she was found out and it looked like the whole industry could collapse.

    While the films are boring, the industry politics since the 1970s is fascinating.
