2007 honda stream Front Left fly glass

Hi,

Little scrotes tried to rob my car and broke the passenger fly glass. I've tried most breakers in ireland and they are gone. Very expensive part too if you can get them.

A mechanic told me to buy perspex and he would throw a piece in but has let me down.

Would anyone know someone south dublin that could do this job please or even know where to find the actual part please ? I'm badly stuck driving around with a bag over the window which is driving me mad.

Have you tried places like Autoglass or one of the other vehicle glass companies? They might be able to give you some pointers or even have one in stock.

On the other side, is it not covered on your insurance? Most policies include glass cover so you could offload the search to your Insurance provider instead of trying to do all the leg work yourself.

Auto glass quoted me €800. Car is worth 2k max. I don't want to go near insurance as it was very difficult to get insured on so I don't want to bother them.

I wouldn't mind, it's the best car I've ever owned so I would like to keep it. Never a bother with it and bomb proof but between parts and getting insured, I might have to get rid of it.

Thanks. I need front left and had already bought one from a 2006 model to be told it wouldn't fit. Found out tonight that it might fit so a guy is having a go at it on Saturday.
