We are looking to find some volunteers for a new journalism project called Note that we are working on at TheJournal.ie.
We want you to tell us about issues, local or national, that you would like to see investigated.
It could be why a controversial development near you got planning permission, how your local hospital does compared to others, if your county's roads are unusually dangerous, or some dubious decision a government department has made.
It can be something that affects you personally, or just some burning question that you've always wanted answered.
We want to help you understand how Ireland works, and why it sometimes doesn't work
We plan to create a platform to unearth those stories that always seem to slip between the cracks.
We're hoping to create a place where members of the public can get answers to their questions, and help support the journalism that will provide those answers.
You can find out a little more about the background to the project here https://newsinitiative.withgoogle.co.../note-round-5/.
At the moment, we are just getting started and looking for some people to work with us as we develop the project.
In a few months, we are hoping to go live with it and by then, we should be able to tell some of these stories.
What to expect for now:
- create an account and log-in, you can use your Google account.
- submit an idea for something you would like to see investigated.
- we will contact you for feedback.
- anything submitted at this stage will be treated in the strictest confidence and not published anywhere.
