Light Snowfall possible for east

Thought i would throw up a new thread, as some snow might hit the east coast soon and this place might light up!

Currently a few flakes in the wind here.

Some sub -8c 850hPa temps over the Irish sea for the next 24 hours in a very light east/northeast flow should allow some light showers to form and perhaps giving 1-3cm in lucky spots.

Let the radar watch begin.

M2 Buoy Dewpoint at -4c so we shouldn't have to worry about sleet, for the time being anyway.

I cant believe this! I'm just up and decided to have a look at the radar not expecting to see much and this is what I see
I don't think its time to get the snow shovel out of the shed but a nice surprise with pressure quite high and still building. Even an unexpected dusting is more than welcome.
edit. that ppn is making it all the way from NE England to NW England, worth watching to see what happens when it moves into the Irish Sea?

Light snow here for the last 10 minutes.

1.7c DP -1.5c.

Wind has gone NW, best set up for those showers if/when they come ashore.

A few snowflakes here this morning too.

one landed on the left velux, one landed on a bit of moss on the roof and also one landed on the lid of the oil tank!

snow watching is just great!

If you run the radar loop, they are moving alright.
