Isn't this just the useless user-submitted info that was on IMDB?

List threads are against the rules here and for good reason. There's nothing as uninviting as a long list of titles and the one you posted op is ridiculous. I flicked through it while scrolling down and most if the films I saw mentioned will never be made, most were mentioned by the cast or crew during the original films opening weekend and by Monday morning were swiftly forgotten.

No one is being unfriendly to you but rather pointing out that this tyep of thread is against the rules. List threads are one of the most boring and pointless aspects of any site, page after page of people posting one line replies and no discussion which is the opposite of what people on here are encouraged to do. Take a read of the charter and familiarise yourself with the rules.

There have been a few sarcastic remarks made in fairness. Not necessary really.

Could discussion not arise from the list itself and should it also not be up the the mods to decide what constitutes a list thread or not?

Certain threads should be left for a bit to see if they develope some interesting conversation rather than pulled apart from the get go.

The problem with the list is that many of the films mentioned on it have been confirmed as never happening. The biggest problem with such a long list is that debate is hard to come by, are we to discuss individual films or are we to discuss how remakes and sequels are destroy cinema.

I personally think feck all will be discussed now as it was never allowed to develope.

But yeah, both could have been discussed. I personally believe that if the thread is not for you (not you personally) then leave it to others to decide on whether they want to contribute or not. But pulling it down from the get go, never allowed it to go anywhere. It may not have, but sure why not give it a chance. The mods will decide on whether the thread is to be kept or not.

Just my view on it. Nothing personal

There's never any need for anyone to abuse a poster but threads started with a list never work and considering that they are against the charter allowing one to get through seems a little unfair on all the other posters who like lists. If the op wants to get some discussion going about remakes or sequels then a thread where he talks about what it is he likes/hates about them. If he wants to discuss certain films then start a dedicated thread where he once again discusses the films not simply post a long, inaccurate list which obviously hasn't been updated in quite sometime.

Would all the people who decided to tackle the OP in-thread please learn how to use the report post function. I didn't get so much as one reported post for "no listing" in this thread.

Tindie, you would have spared yourself the reactions in this thread had you read the charter as I suggested before. I specifically told you to familiarise yourself with the rules regarding listing. Please read the charter before posting again.

Locked.
