Very sorry to hear this, I met him a couple of times at sportives and spoke to him from time to time on facebook, my prayers are with him and his family.

Always enjoyed his contributions. Seemed a passionate and interesting bloke.
Thoughts are with those he has left behind.

John was a member of Slaney CC, Enniscorthy for the past number of years. A strong cyclist on both road and MTB, John was a regular participant in sportives around the country including our own Mount Leinster Challenge. John was also interested in the racing scene and was a regular poster on both this forum as well as club forums and facebook etc. John was never shy to offer his opinion on events but was happy to back this up with offers of assistance and was always quick to express his gratitude.

All at the club express their sympathies to Johns familiy.
